This is such an easy and quick high protein bagel recipe that u can make ahead and even freeze for an on-the-go breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 cup any flour (i have used rice, gluten free, wheat, almond)
- 1 cup high protein Greek yogurt
- 1 egg
- Pinch of salt
- Optional topping: everything bagel seasoning
- Optional: cooking spray or egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, Greek yogurt, egg, and a pinch of salt until a dough forms.
- Shape into bagels (make a ring) or buns and place on the baking sheet.
- Lightly spray with cooking spray or brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until it's cooked through.
- Cool slightly and enjoy.
Serving ideas
Eat as-is, or top with a fried egg, cheese, or avocado with cherry tomatoes.
Make-ahead / freezing
Let cool completely, then freeze in a sealed bag/container. Thaw overnight or warm in a toaster/oven to serve.
