Planning dinner has taken up at least 25% of my life span. Between 6 family members with different schedules , palates, requests. Someone is always bulking, cutting, dieting, craving etc
My sons are very proficient cooks and can definitely cook meals from scratch but in a big family in order to save my kitchen from 24 hour use I do plan/make dinner daily.
I find out who is going to be home and often tailor my menu based on the requirements of who will be home to eat it.
I have a few cheats that make weekday meals easier, fairly healthy and high in protein. Here are 3 of my favourites
Store bought turkey meatballs
Simply brown from frozen, add your favourite sauce, garlic, italian seasoning and simmer on low
Eat alone over pasta or on a bun.
Bagged asian salad
Bagged asian salad, add cashews and chopped store bought baked chicken fingers.
5 min meal, quick easy and delicious.
In a pinch and on the go…eggs
Boiled, scrambled, fried. Add avocado and salsa
Eat plain or throw in a wrap for on the go nutrition.
