The rice cooker I use
About 5 years ago my son bought me a rice cooker for a gift. It has made food preparation so much easier because I can measure, press a button and leave perfect rice every single time.
Simple base method for the salmon
I simply season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides. I love chipotle mango seasoning as well, but you can use any seasoning you like.
- Make a sauce and brush it on the salmon.
- Place the salmon on a lined sheet pan.
- Bake skin side up at 450° for about 12 minutes, then remove or serve with skin on.
- Drizzle any remaining sauce on the cooked salmon.
Sauce options
Teriyaki sauce
- 1 part soya sauce to 3 parts honey
- Crushed garlic
- Garlic powder

Maple mustard
- 1 part grainy mustard
- 3 parts maple syrup

Lemon herb
- 1 part olive oil
- 1 part lemon
- Lemon zest
- Italian herb seasoning
- Red pepper seasoning

Sides and serving ideas
The sides are up to you. Leave the rice plain or season it, steam or roast the veggies, add a salad.
This is literally a 20 minute meal that will leave all salmon lovers satisfied.
