At my core, I am a creative person. I am not an artist or a performer, nor do I have a creative job, so the way I express my long-suppressed creative side is through home decor and entertaining.
I look forward to the changing seasons and love to update my home accordingly. I go all out for Christmas and Easter. Christmas is a family affair and a fun tradition; for the rest of the seasons, I handle the decorating solo.
I spend the day removing the old decor, deep cleaning my house, and then arranging decor for the new season. I put on a podcast and get to work. Each year I add new items and make my displays slightly different from year to year.
It gives me a reason to look forward to the season ahead and makes hosting friends and family more enjoyable.
